GELERT AND THE WOLF

Complete this story in two ways with two different endings.
When the little prince was born, Gelert decided that it should be his special responsibility to look after the baby. There had been rumours that a wolf had been seen near the hunting lodge but the Prince shrugged his shoulders and told the Princess that Gelert would soon see off any predator who came near the lodge and ensure that no harm came to their baby.

'Gelert was given to me as a tiny puppy and I trust him completely,' the Prince said.

One morning, the lodge was strangely quiet. The servants, usually laughing and chattering were silent and one maid seemed to have been crying. Someone or something has left muddy paw marks all over the floor. As well the bones and meat from the previous day were missing.
Gelert sniffed the marks and growled deep within his throat, recognising the scent. The wolf had been inside the lodge. Gelert barked, trying to make everyone understand the danger but no one listened to him.
